Technical Product Designer

As an employee of mechanical construction, technical product designers use 3D CAD systems to create drawings for mechanical engineering and related documents, such as bills of materials for production.

During your training, you will learn about the following areas of responsibility/work:

• Planning, creating, and presenting 3D technical models and drawings using 3D CAD software programs and using up-to-date communication and office programs.
   
• Evaluation of manufacturing, assembly and joining processes and integrating these results into the modeling, designing and construction process
   
• Preparation of technical accompanying documents and carrying out of technical calculations
   
• Application of operational databases, creation and management of technical data records
   
• Support in advising customers and customer service
   
• Planning, organization and coordination of workflows, design and construction processes
   
• Application of quality assurance measures and control as well as assessment of work results
   
• Team-, process- and project-oriented work using methods of project planning, project implementation and project control
   
• Use of English-language documents, correspondence and communication with customers
