Assembly system for inverters

Our state-of-the-art automated pre- and final assembly line for inverters sets new standards in production technology. The system is equipped with integrated manual workstations for cable assembly enabling flexible and efficient processing. Thanks to the workpiece carrier interlinking including data tracing, different type variants can be processed without any problems, with each station monitoring and documenting the production progress.
Particularly tricky processes that cannot be automated have been skilfully integrated into this automated production system as manual workstations. The component is always presented to the worker in such a way that ergonomic processing is possible.
The system fulfils TecSa conformity (technical cleanliness) and has cleaning stations for components and workpiece carriers that guarantee highest standards of cleanliness. The modular design and the fully automatic interlinking enable easy customisation and expansion of the production line. The master computer connection ensures seamless integration into existing IT infrastructures. The entire line has been designed in accordance with the customer’s ESD requirements.
Our processes include laser welding of copper, hot stamping, automatic screwing, automatic flat belt assembly, punching, PCB assembly and comprehensive testing processes. With a cycle time of 90 seconds and Siemens control, the system offers maximum efficiency and reliability.
We created a system concept for the customer, co-developed processes and further developed the customer’s part, which already was in preproduction during the design phase. The ergonomic design of the inline manual workstations was developed together with the customer using cardboarding. This allowed to determine the cycle time and the number of required operators.
