Industrial Mechanic (specialisms machines and system engineering)

As an employee in assembly, industrial mechanics manufacture, monitor and optimize machines and systems and carry out repair and maintenance tasks.

During your training, you will learn about the following areas of responsibility:

• Manufacture, maintenance and monitoring of technical systems
   
• Installation, conversion and commissioning/initial operation of production plants/lines
   
• "Reading" of technical components or assembly drawings/graphs and subsequent machine or manual processing
   
• Assembling parts into complete units using component and assembly drawings with bills of materials/basic schedules and integration into technical systems
   
• Mechanical commissioning both in the company and with the end customer on site
   
• Working in the range of hundredths of a millimeter
   
• Your workplace can be either a workshop, an assembly hall, a test bench or a construction/installation site
